In July of 2016, Bishop Michael Dantley of Christ Emmanuel Christian Fellowship met with his congregants and declared a Jesus Revolution.
The Biblical Foundation given was Amos 5:21-24 and Luke 12:49-59. The burden of the cry spoken in Amos and Luke fell individually and corporately.
As a result of the Jesus Revolution mandate, the vision of Servants to the Least of These Homeless Outreach Ministries was birthed through
Minister Larry Devereaux as a non-profit organization. On Saturday August 13, 2016 while on a work assignment, Minister Larry began to walk through
Garfield Park in downtown Cincinnati. He encountered countless homeless individuals wrapped in blankets as they slept on the pavement and park benches.
It was at this point that the Lord reminded Minister Larry of the Jesus Revolution mandate. God immediately showed him the work that needed to be done.
On Saturday, August 20, 2016, Minister Larry took it upon himself to return to the Garfield Park as well as other areas to search out the homeless.
Single-handedly, he began serving fruit cups, energy bars, peanut butter crackers, juice and water to those he encountered. After sharing his vision with a few friends, the excitement grew and others began to join in this endeavor to feed, clothe and bring hope to the homeless community in downtown Cincinnati.
On January 26, 2017, our ministry was declared a non-profit organization. We are also registered with Ohio as a Charitable Organization. After almost four years, we continue to faithfully serve the homeless community with the love of Jesus Christ.
Faithfully,
Minister Larry Devereaux – Founder & President
Minister Sheila West – Vice President
CHRIST ALONE: SOLO CHRISTO (LATIN)
One of five Latin phrases popularized during the Protestant Reformation that emphasized the distinctions between the early Reformers and the Roman Catholic Church.
One of five doctrines that are corrective to the excesses of the Roman Catholic Church at the start of the Reformation.
When the Reformers insisted on solo Christo, they affirmed that we are saved by Christ alone, apart from the merit of any other person. It is Christ and Christ alone who saves.
Jesus alone is the King of kings (Rev 19:16)
Jesus alone is our High Priest (Heb 4:14)
Jesus alone is our Redeemer (Gal 3:13)
Jesus alone is the sole Mediator between God and man (1 Tim 2:5)
Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, the Chosen One of God
THROUGH CHRIST ALONE: SOLUS CHRISTUS emphasizes the role of Jesus in salvation. The Roman Catholic tradition had placed church leaders such as priests in the role of intercessor between the laity and God. Reformers emphasized Jesus’ role as our “high priest” who intercedes on our behalf before the Father. Jesus is the One who offers access to God, not a human spiritual leader.

Servants to the Least of These Homeless Outreach has faithfully served the homeless community in the downtown area of Cincinnati since August 2016. In May 2017, the outreach was declared as a 501 c 3 non-profit organization.
Our mission is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those experiencing homelessness within our community; to assist them in their walk to wholeness, destiny and purpose as intended by the Lord Jesus Christ. It is our determination to always remain connected to the root causes of homelessness while contributing to the eradication of this epidemic.
As such, we are a member of the Greater Cincinnati Homeless Coalition as a joint effort to consider the issues of homelessness in our city.
With consistency, we prepare and distribute over one hundred meals to the homeless community each Saturday. In addition, we serve drinks and freshly made hot coffee and all its fixings. Coffee distribution has proven to be a “hit” amongst these individuals, especially during the cold weather.
